FAQs

Why should I hire you over someone cheaper?

In my opinion an experienced designer’s hourly rates can exceed $60 an hour before taxes. These are people who understand advertising, marketing and design. I worked with business owners who opted for a cheaper designer who didn’t understand marketing for their website and brochures. I then have to redo and build upon that work. It would have been cheaper to go to someone who knows what they’re doing in the first place. I understand not everyone can afford me but I guarantee professional timely service and I have the experience and skills to guide you. Often a logo I make will pay for itself and bring in profit in merchandise sales. I believe it’s worth the investment.

What resources can I provide that will make the design process faster?

This is a great question that will save us all time and make the work flow better. The best thing is to provide references for what you’re looking for. This could be images of logos in your industry that I should consider. Maybe it’s a specific look or feeling you’re after. Originality is important so we must know what other people are doing so we don’t look like them. Other things to consider are color schemes and font styles. I like to use www.pinterest.com ,  www.coolors.co and www.dafont.com

If I can’t meet in person can we Zoom or talk on the phone?

For the consultation I prefer meeting on Zoom. If that’s not possible the next best option is for me to email you a shared folder on Google Drive that allows both of us to add documents. I can then call you on the phone so we can understand each other clearly. We both need to be on our computers with an internet connection at that time.

How long does it take to make a logo?

This is a case by case basis. Generally speaking I would say a medium detailed one color graphic could take 15-20 hours. I ensure that the end result will be digitally perfect and you’ll have all the file formats you need to take your project to the next level.
